Oil Painting and Experimental Painting.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Those who wish to develop the skills to express themselves through the medium of oil painting.
COURSE DETAIL
Whether you're new to oil painting or have some experience, this course will build your skills and confidence in the subject. We'll throw light on the materials and processes involved, and have you working from still life right from the beginning. You'll then be guided through interpreting your initial sketches and drawings, as well as organizing them into a plan. We'll also demonstrate painting techniques and you'll be encouraged to practice from home between sessions if possible.
COURSE OUTCOMES
You'll leave the course with a body of work and you'll have more awareness of the diverse concepts and production of the generic process of painting. Many people move on to other visual arts courses, at intermediate or advanced levels.
COURSE LEVEL
Beginner/Intermediate - some knowledge of painting and drawing would be useful although it's not essential.

A-Z Oil Painting with Enver Gürsev
This compendious 3 day course covers every aspect of oil painting. Suitable for complete beginners and those wishing to refresh their existing knowledge using oil paint.
With attention given to the individual needs of each participant, students will have the ability to convert the visual experience into a truly personal statement, using the rudimentary rules and mechanics of painting including:
• Stretching and preparing canvas.
• Paint application.
• Exploring diverse mixing mediums.
• Colour theory.
• Painting techniques and tips.
• Developing an understanding of materials and mediums and be confident in using them.
They will also enhance their awareness of the diverse concepts, problems and production with the generic process of painting.
The classes will take place in the buzzing creative atmosphere of The Vibe Gallery. Bermondsey, London.
Prices: £250 (with your own material) £300 (material supplied).
